Grandirosa atelier

About

Founded in London in 2014, Grandirosa is a floral atelier creating atmospheric floral environments for contemporary luxury culture.

Grandirosa

Working across private celebrations, hospitality, fashion and brand collaborations, the studio has become recognised for its abundant signature style - romantic, sculptural and deeply rooted in craftsmanship.

Grandirosa

At the heart of Grandirosa is a fascination with the emotional power of flowers: their ability to transform spaces, evoke memory and shape atmosphere. Each arrangement is approached as a composition of texture, movement and seasonality, with flowers treated less as decoration and more as living material.

Grandirosa

Founded by Lil Caldwell, Mary Wood and Stuart Orr, Grandirosa was built through a shared belief in craftsmanship, storytelling and thoughtful design. Together, the founders brought backgrounds spanning law, marketing and sustainability, shaping a studio that balances creative intuition with strategic thinking.

Creativity, craftsmanship and curiosity remain central to the way we work.

In a recent conversation with Cabana Magazine's Atlas of Craftsmanship, founder Lil Caldwell reflected on her transition from commercial litigation to floristry, the importance of learning through practice, and the belief that the most meaningful work comes from noticing the small things.

Philosophy

We approach floristry as an exercise in atmosphere - shaping spaces through texture, movement, colour and scent to create experiences that feel emotionally resonant and deeply memorable.

Our work is guided by seasonality and a respect for natural materials, embracing the individuality and imperfection that give flowers their vitality and character.

Rooted in craftsmanship, each arrangement is created by hand in our atelier using thoughtful sourcing practices and a highly considered approach to composition and production.

Alongside our work, we continue to explore more responsible ways of operating as a studio, including composting all green floral waste through local partners. We hold an Accredited Zero to Landfill certificate (2025). In 2025, 5 tonnes of our general waste was diverted from landfill, saving 3.1 tonnes of CO2. In addition, our atelier is fully electric - we consume no gas whatsoever.

Grandirosa is based on Chiltern Street in the heart of Marylebone, where our atelier sits amongst a community of independent makers, galleries, antique dealers and neighbourhood institutions.

The studio reflects the world that inspires our work - layered, atmospheric and deeply connected to craftsmanship, interiors and the rituals of hospitality. This sense of place continues to shape the way we approach flowers: intuitively, seasonally and always with a focus on creating spaces that feel warm, transportive and alive.
